We are a progressive, inclusive, and affirming church that boldly proclaims God’s love for all people. We serve as a spiritual home for those who have been marginalized or excluded by traditional religious institutions, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. Truth & Destiny is deeply rooted in our mission of radical inclusivity, offering a space where everyone is celebrated, accepted, and embraced just as they are.
Truth & Destiny is defined by our welcoming and loving community, our commitment to social justice, and our dedication to healing the spiritual wounds caused by exclusionary theology. Our guiding principles emphasize authenticity, dignity, and a focus on love, fellowship, and action. Truth & Destiny stands apart as a haven for those seeking a deeper connection to faith without having to compromise their identity or worth.
Our ministry strives to create a vibrant, dynamic worship experience that uplifts, inspires, and equips its members to live out their faith boldly. It is more than a church—it is a movement of love, healing, and belonging that challenges oppressive norms and embodies the radical message of Jesus Christ.
Truth & Destiny Covenant Ministries was founded on the vision of Pastor Lesley E. Jones to create a Christ-centered, spirit-filled church that extends unconditional, radically-inclusive love to all people—regardless of race, gender, identity, orientation, or background. From its inception, the mission was clear: to blend the Gospel of Jesus Christ with modern social justice, preaching a message of liberation, reconciliation, and sanctification. What began as a simple dinner conversation about the nature of the church soon evolved into a thriving community dedicated to teaching, healing, and advocating for those often marginalized by traditional faith communities.
Since our first service in 2003, held in a yoga studio in Cincinnati, Ohio, Truth & Destiny has grown in both size and impact. Through community outreach, social justice advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to radical inclusivity, we have worked to transform lives and neighborhoods alike. Our journey has been marked by significant milestones, including partnerships with the United Church of Christ, community programs to fight hunger and support education, and even an international mission trip to Kenya. Today, we continue to expand spiritually, theologically, and numerically—standing as a beacon of hope and a testament to faith that truly embraces all.
Throughout our journey, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to our mission, vision, and dream, always striving to be a beacon of hope, healing, and love for all.
